Personal Profile

 

Dr. Violeta Villaroman-Bautista, or Doc Bolet to her clients and interns, is a much sought after life coach, family/couples/child/teen psychotherapist, workplace counselor, addictions and trauma counselor, court expert witness, community psychologist, facilitator and trainer. With more than 20 years of experience, she has assisted many children, teenagers and their families as well as professionals, executives and community workers find wellness, wholeness, growth and healing. She conducts individual, family and group counseling in her office and brings wellness and wholeness workshops to schools, churches, corporate settings and communities.

Doc Bolet has applied herself to the learning of mainstream and nontraditional approaches to healing and care of persons. She is a master therapist on systemic, strategic, and experiential approaches in individual and family therapy. She infuses such approaches with the practical benefits of cognitive-behavioral approaches, the here and the now strength of Gestalt therapy, the holistic character of body-centered psychotherapy and the transpersonal dimension of psychospiritual models. Her resulting approach to therapy is now known as the Wholess Approach.

Doc Bolet trained at the Family Therapy Institute of Washington D.C. and Philadelphia Child Guidance Center. She also studied the place of spirituality in patient/family care at the Medical College of Virginia, Asian Theological Seminary in the Philippines and Union Theological Seminary at Richmond, Virginia. She received scholarship grants from the Rockefeller, Ford Foundation, Virginia Commonwealth University and Gestalt Educational Network International – Europe.

She continues to expand her expertise in helping people by attending training courses in life coaching, gestalt work, group therapy, hypnotherapy, and body work programs such as acupressure, reflexology, Filipino hilot massage, Swedish massage, and aromatherapy.

 

Doc Bolet holds outpatient clinic at Quezon City. She meets with children, teens, couples and families and assists them in finding pathways to personal/family growth as well as solutions to their problems.

She also serves as consultant to child centered organizations such as World Vision Foundation Philippines, PLAN International, Unicef, Compassion Philippines and Council for the Welfare of Children.

Doc Bolet is a professor of clinical psychology, currently heads the Clinical Psychology Program of the University of the Philippines, co-manages and holds therapy at Life Change Recovery Center, is founding-chair and adjunct professor of Counseling at the Asian Theological Seminary and is Director of Care and Counsel Wholeness Center(CCWC): The Center for Family, Workplace and Community Enhancement.

Doc Bolet is married to Lorenzo “Boy” Bautista who is a professor-theologian, has a psychologist-daughter who works as an artist, and five human-dogs.
